This a lovely place where everything is misspelled and everyone frolicks in fields of pretty flowers! Or not...

Three months later... Commissary Adventures!

Pt.1 – So, Jeff, my quest for gifts starts with you. I tried to think what type of food would fit you, but vibraphones don’t eat anything. I don’t know if you are familiar with the commissary, but it is (obviously) a food store. Produce was the first after and unsuccessful trip to the deli. And upon arrival, what did I see but a huge display of nuts. Seeing as my knowledge of chipmunks is limited to Chip and Dale, I decided they eat nuts. So enjoy. Merry Christmas!

Pt. 2 – So I continue on my quest. It seemed to me it was pretty obvious what to get you, Kim. So I searched, but there were no Golden Kiwis (sic)! Although I was tempted to smack them for great justice, I refrained and instead bought you this kiwi. Merry Christmas, my man.

Pt. 3 – So we finish fruit and move onto vegetables. And what do I see, Steve, but the cutest little mushrooms. Aside from your resemblance to a mushroom, you also remind me of them in their mellow flavor and massiving (sic) cuteness. Steve, you rock. Merry Christmas!

Pt. 4 – Let me set the stage for you, Erin. We’re (Katana and I) at the Commissary in the produce section. And I was puzzling over what to get you, but Katana said, “Isn’t it obvious?” And it was. Enjoy, Erin. Merry Christmas.

Pt. 5 – Finally we get to the aisles and we see soft drinks. My friend rushes ahead of me, picks up the attached bottle, and says, “If you like this person or harbor any affection for them AT ALL, you will buy them this.” I think you can figure out the rest. Merry Christmas!

Pt. 6 – It seems to me pretty obvious what I was going to get you, Cheryl. But then I saw a special display of Dazzle Holographic Foil. I said, “Only the best for Cheryl,” and picked it up. Merry Christmas!

Pt.7 – Duty, do not open this in school. You see, I was thinking I would get you “fire-roasted” something. But it seemed so lame. So, here is my gift to you and you are not to open it until you get home. Also, it is quite flammable, so be careful. Happy Christmas, Duty!

Pt. 8 – I was stumped for what to get you. Thankfully my mother pointed out the “rent-a-cops,” and I knew at once what would fit you. Feed him well, DJ. Merry Christmas!

Pt. 9 – So we’re walking down the international foods aisle and I’m still at a loss for what to get you, Christine. But when I ran across the Kikkoman display, I knew I had to give it to someone. Show me! Shoyu! Kikkoman! Merry Christmas!

Pt. 10 – Andy, I knew you wanted Baja Fresh for Christmas. As I had never been to Baja Fresh, I had to guess. But I’m sure you can replicate some yummy things with these. Feliz Navidad!

Pt. 11 – What to get your favorite Man Hunk? Toast, of course! Enjoy, and Merry Christmas! We hope you like white, but…

Pt. 12 – Now, Beth is a moon monster. But what do moon monsters eat? Moon pies, of course! Enjoy your happy Moon pies Beth. Merry Christmas!

Pt. 14 – As you first look at this, Sollosi, you probably don’t get it. If you will direct your attention to the instructions, you will see it’s as easy as 1-2-3! Merry Christmas, Sollosi!

Pt. 15 – Katana and I were walking through the store looking for something with a dinosaur on it for you, Christine. It was then we spotted something “just perfect for Christine.” Merry Christmas, Christine!

Pt. 16 – Since I couldn’t find any Hello Kitty ramen, I figured the next best thing to get you, Susan, was lemon drops. Don’t get too stressed. Merry Christmas!

Pt. 17 – There’s really no question what you want, Umi-chan dear. So here is a good sized hunk of chocolate. Don’t spend it all in one place. Merry Christmas!

Pt. 18 – Clare, they say the punishment should fit the crime. Please enjoy these yummy pickles! Merry Christmas.

Pt. 19 – Originally, Amanda, I wanted to get you some crème puffs. But seeing as I couldn’t fid any & there was a huge display of ketchup… Feel free to go to that island now. Kidding. Merry Christmas.

Pt. 20 – Curse those French, Mike. All their cheese is exorbitantly expensive. So, here is some “France” cheese. Use your imagination. Merry Christmas.

Pt. 21 – Well, this present was hard to track down for you, Vicky. The aliens took all of the red hots, so here are some cinnamon jellybeans. Same thing, different shape. I’m sure you know why you remind me of cinnamon… Merry Christmas!

Pt. 22 – Ben, I don’t know you well, so shopping for you was hard. I finally food something, (undecipherable), & I hope you like it. It reminds me of the things you throw at Andy. Happy Hanukkah!

Pt. 23 – So, Katana pointed out to me what would be a fitting gift for you. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Use this cocoa for yourself instead of to comfort all of us. J

Pt. 24 – So, this is the most difficult one to explain, but I’ll try, Stephen. It was getting late, & I needed something for you. When I saw the flav-a-aid, it reminded me of your annoying predilection towards being courteous. Merry Christmas, Stephen.

Pt. 25 – Well, Madeleine, the justification here is pretty weak, mainly because you’re hard to shop for! I got you these cookies because they remind me of French. But they are also cookies, and how could you complain about that? Merry Christmas!

Pt. 26 – Jenny, you are an animal lover, so I thought animal crackers would be good for you. Merry Christmas!

Pt. 27 – Krystle, I’m very proud of myself for this one. Since you always make us pit bread, here’s some bread with pits in it! Merry Christmas.

Pt. 28 – My adventures quickly coming to a close, I searched for something for you, Stephanie. Well, I settled on Wonder bread because you’re wonderful! Merry Christmas, Stephanie.

Pt. 29 – Last but not least, you kept me stumped longest, Kristen. But I found this cute little plant. I hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas!

Today we went to THE MALL. You know, the one with the monuments? So, we all met at the Sackler/Freer thing, and I was sad for lack of buying origami. We also hit Natural History and Air and Space, with lunch at the Gallery of Art.

Interesting Tidbits:

[concerning looking both ways before crossing the street]
Harrison: Oh, we're just keeping Amanda from killing herself.
Heiu: *gasp*
Harrison: Suicide is not the answer!
Me: Otherwise GTO will come after me, right?
Heiu: Right!
Harrison: Jisatsu wa dame!

[concerning March 14]
Fuki: But, today is not St. Patrick's Day?
Me: No, that's Wednesday.
Erik: I don't see any Pi day parade.
Harrison: Yeah, pi day!
[explantion of "pi"]
Fuki: Today is also White Day.
Hieu: Oh, is it?
Me: Yeah, so give us chocolate now!

Now, Japanese for Amanda Davis:
Kintama ga nai!
Key-n-ta-ma ga na-ee
"You have no balls"

I got to watch STAR TREK today! Yes! Fuki liked it. Julian didn't show up much, except when he was being a spy/talking about his long lost love. It made me sad. But that's okay. He's still wai.

[concerning Julian]
Me: But, it's okay because I've had this crush for years. I was young and foolish then.

Um...........

I'm feeling decidedly on the blue end of the spectrum today. So I want to whine about not having comments even though I find interesting things, like if owls have eyebrows or the ranges of all voices. *whines*

And now for vague angst.

[concerning long lost love]
Julian: Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and wonder if I'll ever find someone quite that wonderful again.

[concerning angst]
[brother poses dramatically in chair]
Mom: I wish he wouldn't sit like that.
Me: Oh, it just his inner angst [with mocking hand motions].

And... I have a lot of homework I put off. I hate homework. Laters.

Ha! Finally figured it out! Contralto, baby! Contralto is the lowest female voice, tenor in sound, comfortable on the bottom, pushed at the top. Range: low G or below to high G or A. As of right now I can go from E below middle C to B above middle C before I die of throat hurting (thank you marimba). It has few parts in opera, so I guess that's out... In case you were wondering, ranges for other voices (for opera):

Female
Coloratura Soprano: Middle C to F or G above high C.
Lyric Soprano: B-flat below middle C to high C or D.
Spinto Soprano: same as lyric.
Dramatic Soprano: low B-flat or A, to a pushed high C.
Mezzo Soprano: Low A or G, to about high A or B-flat.
Contralto: low G or below, to high G or A.

Male
Tenor: D, or E below middle C, to high C or D above Middle C.
Baritone: low A, or B-flat to G or A above middle C.
Bass: E or F an octave and a fifth below middle C, to E or F above middle C.
Profundo Range: Middle C or D to low C or B-flat.

Went to church, the Tyson's Corner.

Built a shamrock having bear named "Lucky." You may see him.

Ate at Rainforest Cafe. It took a long time.

Played DDR/Tekken Tag. Finally AA'ed "End of the Century." w00t.

In-joke of the day:
[Talking about College teams due to Big East Championships on TV]
Me: 25-22 (? Can't really remember... Not important.) Pittsburg.
Brother: Oh, good.
Me: You want Pittsburg to win?
Brother: Yeah, I don't like UConn.
Me: Why not? You just don't?
Brother: Yeah. I don't like Michigan either.
Me: *raises eyebrow* You don't like Michigan?
Brother: Nope. Especially not their football team. They beat Ohio state.
[Arguement about who beat who. He was right.]
Me: Either way, Ohio's still the best football team.

I find that intensely amusing. Sorry if you don't get it. I just want it written down.

Um............

Fuki opened b-day presents. Have to send pics to her mom.

And...........

Now I'm tired. I'll catch you all later.

Me: I mean, you know of him?

Me: (he's 12)

Yar. Fuki is so stylish. I wish I could be stylish like her. We walked to Lake Barton today, but we didn't see any turtles.

I have to sincerely say, my heart goes out to Miss Amanda Davis today. I'm sorry, hun. You can't always get the peach.

Susan is not allowed to talk to Katana, and neither are allowed to talk to my mom. Mob violence is wrong, you know.

Andy is not allowed to meet a Spanish girl.

The SOL was horrible. I have to agree with my mom, though. "Don't you think the people who can't pass that test should be kept in high school and never graduate?" Yes.

We watched The Emperor's New Groove. I love that movie.

We ate mochi today. It had to be zapped. And I LOVE hina arare. umyumyum.

I feel much less genki after writing all this. Maybe it was Andy? Maybe...

If you could do anything once again, one last time, what would it be? For example, eat ice cream one more time before you found out you could never eat ice cream again. If in the past, this can be either knowing everything you know now, or just being in the moment.

You know what I missed? I missed my two years as captain, four on the Empire anniversary. I hate you Junior year. How could you do this to me?

You all must be SO tired of this subject...

Julian == kind and sweet!!!!!!!1111oneone

Okay, so I watched Melora today. And Cardassians. And Julian is t3h wai. He's so nice to Melora even though she's so mean to him. And he's just sweet in general. And he's so debonair! (Not like the freaky lady, like the adjective.) Ah... *sighs* For ship people: I've decided what I get to do during that one mission where we all don't exsist. I get to go to DS9. OMG.

Um, so, why does life bite? Can someone please tell me that?

And, why can't I post? *cries*

Bed. Cya.
